Mistrot 4 TOP5 Confirmed... Heo Chan-mi, Lee So-na, Hong Sung-yoon, and Others Advance to Finals

The TOP 5 finalists of 'Miss Trot 4' have been confirmed. The January 26th broadcast of TV CHOSUN's 'Miss Trot 4' continued its successful streak by recording its highest ratings to date. On that day, the ratings for 'Miss Trot 4' were 13.0% for Part 1, 16.4% for Part 2, 15.2% for Part 3, and 12.6% for Part 4. Notably, the Part 2 rating set a new personal best. The program ranked first in its time slot across all channels for 11 consecutive weeks, topped all daily programs on all channels, led Thursday variety shows, and was number one in weekly variety show ratings across all channels. The peak rating moment reached 17.7%.

'Miss Trot 4' is now down to the final round, with viewers eagerly anticipating the milestone of surpassing a 20% rating. This season featured the semifinals, the last hurdle before the finals. Out of a total of 88 teams, only 10 trot queens remain. This season operates with a TOP 5 system instead of TOP 7, making the semifinals even more competitive.

For the first time, real-time text voting, previously only used in the finals, was introduced in the semifinals. This generated explosive anticipation even before the broadcast. The semifinalists performed the new song "Hollyeora," written and composed by Jang Yoon-jung, as a group. The song captivated viewers with its addictive melody.

The semifinal mission was a traditional trot competition, where participants were evaluated on their passion for and understanding of traditional trot. The semifinals were scored out of a total of 2,500 points, with 1,600 points from the masters and the remaining 900 points decided by the people's choice. The people's choice consisted of 200 points from the on-site national representative panel, 200 points from nationwide cheering votes, and 500 points from real-time text voting.

With MC Kim Sung-joo's announcement to start voting, the real-time national voting began. Contestant number 0, Yumi, said, "Appearing on 'Miss Trot 4' is probably the most praise-worthy thing in my life." Yumi chose Seol Woon-do's "Lost 30 Years" for her semifinal performance, delivering an emotional stage.

Contestant number 1, Lee Eliya, performed Im Ja-ryeong's "Twilight Blues" with overwhelming emotional acting. Lee Eliya said, "I have not forgotten my dream of music and keep it in my heart." Contestant number 2, Yeom Yuri, selected Shin Se-young's "Frontline Ballad," leaving a deep impression.

Contestant number 3, Yoon Tae-hwa, sang Na Hoon-a's "Mangmo," emotionally recalling her grandmother. Contestant number 4, Heo Chan-mi, chose Kim Sang-bae's "No, No," delivering a stage that overwhelmed the venue. Contestant number 5, Lee So-na, performed Joo Byung-sun's "Chilgapsan," completing an emotionally charged stage.

Contestant number 6, Yoon Yoon-seo, perfectly performed Ahn Jung-ae's "Daejeon Blues," drawing attention. Contestant number 7, Hong Sung-yoon, received praise for singing Jo Hang-jo's "Jeongnyeong" without any unnecessary embellishments. Contestant number 8, Gil Ryeo-won, conveyed a deep understanding of traditional trot by performing Jin Sung's "I'm a Fool." Contestant number 9, Kim San-ha, showcased a husky mid-low voice by singing Kim Jung-ho's "Nameless Girl."

After all TOP 10 performances, the combined scores of the masters and the people's choice were revealed. The master scores ranked Heo Chan-mi first with 1,585 points, Gil Ryeo-won second with 1,576 points, and Yoon Yoon-seo third with 1,561 points.

In the final text voting, Heo Chan-mi took first place with 2,406 points, followed by Lee So-na with 2,365.92 points, Hong Sung-yoon with 2,326 points, Yoon Tae-hwa with 2,231.69 points, and Gil Ryeo-won with 2,208.10 points. Through real-time text voting, Heo Chan-mi rose to first place in the intermediate rankings, and Lee So-na moved up from fourth to second place.

The finalists advancing to the final round were confirmed as Heo Chan-mi, Lee So-na, Hong Sung-yoon, Yoon Tae-hwa, and Gil Ryeo-won. They will compete for the trot crown in the finals, which will be broadcast on March 5th at 9:30 PM.
