Park Seo-jin aims for first victory in 6 years with fiery performance on 'Immortal Songs'

Park Seo-jin will perform his first-ever act called "Bulbuk (Fire Drum)" on KBS2's "Immortal Songs." The 746th episode airing on the 28th will be the second part of "Immortal Songs - Artist Seol Woon-do Edition," where Seol Woon-do's legendary trot songs are reinterpreted. In the first part, Son Tae-jin won the final victory with 424 votes.

This broadcast features five teams—Jadu, Kim Soo-chan, D82, Kim So-hyang X Yoon Hyung-ryul, and Park Seo-jin—competing for the next legend title. The artists fiercely compete to spectacularly decorate the coronation ceremony for the next legend to succeed Seol Woon-do. Jadu expressed confidence, announcing dazzling external support including a band session, stunt cheerleaders, and locking dancers.

Park Seo-jin mentioned that it has been six years since he last lifted the winning trophy on "Immortal Songs," saying, "I brought the weapon I planned to use when I won. It's a performance no singer has ever attempted on 'Immortal Songs.' I prepared it even at the cost of sacrificing my body." He selected Seol Woon-do's debut song "Lost 30 Years" and began the stage with heartfelt emotions matching the song's sorrowful sentiment.

Park Seo-jin's stage consists of a unique performance called "Bulbuk." This stage production uses fire-lit drumsticks and a large drum to simultaneously showcase fiery trails and majestic sounds. The scene where brilliant flames burst forth along with the drum sounds following Park Seo-jin's hand gestures is expected to captivate the audience. Lee Chan-won expressed surprise, saying, "There have been many performances on 'Immortal Songs,' but this is the first fire drum performance," and Son Tae-jin evaluated, "Park Seo-jin has achieved surpassing himself."

"Immortal Songs - Artist Seol Woon-do Edition" will air the second part on the 28th following the first part on the 21st. "Immortal Songs," broadcast every Saturday at 6:05 PM on KBS2, has established itself as a program that creates legendary videos viewers want to watch again. Park Seo-jin's stage is anticipated as the moment he is reborn from the "God of Janggu" to the "God of Fire Drum."
