Choi Minasu expressed her feelings about the flood of malicious comments following the broadcast of Netflix's "Single's Inferno 5." In a video uploaded on the "One Mike" channel on the 28th, Choi Minasu shared behind-the-scenes stories from the show. When asked if she had watched the broadcast, she said, "I only watched the highlight parts, so it was very painful. I kept thinking, 'Why did I act like that?' and it was a bit hard to watch again."
After the broadcast aired, Choi Minasu received a lot of criticism for being in the 'villain' position. She mentioned, "From the first week to the third week of the broadcast, there were a lot of active malicious comments. It was no joke. It was funny. There were more comments than likes." She explained why she did not close the comments despite the malicious remarks. "When I look back on my actions, there were definitely parts I reflected on. If I want to show that attitude, I thought it would be right to keep the comments open, so I deliberately left them open," she said.
When asked if she was hurt by the malicious comments, she answered, "Of course." When she said, "I thought I was okay because my mental strength was strong," she shared her feelings, saying, "No. Really, tens of thousands of people were cursing, so of course it was hard. It was hard, but I tried not to stay in that hardship."
Choi Minasu shared her experience of her emotions fluctuating and said, "More than me, my parents who were worried were more concerned." She said that in conversations with her parents, she heard, "It will be okay in the end." "My parents probably had more uncertainty. I am also an only child. What my parents worried about was what I cared about the most," she added. She mentioned her father's worried appearance and said, "It's okay. It will be okay in the end. I'm Choi Minasu. I'm your daughter," she told him. Her mother reassured her by saying, "You're so funny. Were you always this funny?" she said.
She also shared the reactions of her friends. "Some high school and college friends said, 'The Minasu unnie I know is not that kind of person,' and close friends said, 'The you I know is a really good friend,'" she said. She emphasized, "I was grateful that the people who originally knew me remembered my true self completely."
Choi Minasu also expressed gratitude to her fans. "There were fans who supported me since Miss Earth and Miss Korea. I was very thankful to all of them," she said. She evaluated that as the broadcast progressed, she appeared to be a more three-dimensional person. "After the show ended and even after the reunion, I received many DMs saying, 'I understand Minasu unnie's feelings,'" she revealed.
She said that from the moment she decided to film "Single's Inferno," her goal was to act according to her immediate feelings. "Before, I tried to show an image that I had to be for external activities. But here, even if some people might see that image negatively, my goal was to show all of that side of me," she explained. Choi Minasu said, "I think I achieved my goal. But if I were to film again, I think I would do it a little differently."
