
Actress Ji So-yeon expressed her apologies regarding the upload of her Japan travel video. On the 2nd, Ji So-yeon posted on her SNS, stating, "I am taking the various opinions sent to me about the Japan travel video uploaded at the end of February very seriously."
Ji So-yeon explained, "The video was content documenting a trip taken on February 11th, but it was my fault for not deeply considering the significance of the timing of its posting." She added, "I sincerely apologize for not being more careful."
She continued, "Although it was a video recording my personal daily life, regardless of my intentions, I take full responsibility for causing discomfort and disappointment due to the timing of the post. I apologize once again."
Additionally, Ji So-yeon included an apology to Yang Mi-ra, who traveled with her. She said, "I am also deeply troubled by the criticism directed at Mi-ra unnie, who traveled with me, because of this incident. The decision regarding the upload schedule and disclosure was entirely mine, and Mi-ra unnie was not aware of any part of this. I sincerely apologize to Mi-ra unnie as well and truly hope that she is not hurt by this."
Ji So-yeon stated, "Through this incident, I have come to deeply realize that I must act more cautiously and responsibly," and added, "From now on, I will carefully consider the social context and timing in all processes of planning and releasing content."
On the 28th of last month, Ji So-yeon uploaded a video titled "I'm a free woman from today!! (Japan trip with Yang Mi-ra unnie)" on her YouTube channel. However, criticism arose because the video was released one day before the March 1st Independence Movement Day. The video has since been deleted.
In her apology, Ji So-yeon concluded by saying, "I will humbly accept the criticisms sent to me."
