BTS Jungkook stalker arrested and indicted... visited residence 23 times, rang doorbell, and threw mail

A woman in her 30s with Brazilian nationality, identified as A, was arrested and indicted on charges of stalking Jungkook, a member of BTS. The Women and Children Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 3rd that A was arrested and indicted for violating the Stalking Punishment Act and trespassing. It was confirmed that from December 7 of last year to January 4 of this year, A stalked Jungkook by visiting his residence a total of 23 times, pressing the doorbell hundreds of times, and leaving mail.

On December 13 of last year, A was caught in the act of trespassing after entering through the side door of Jungkook's residence while a food delivery person was entering, and was arrested on the spot. Despite this, A's offenses continued, leading the police to request an arrest warrant in January, and she was taken into custody for investigation on the 13th of last month. The prosecution dismissed the charge of attempted trespassing due to insufficient evidence. After reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, the prosecution concluded that there was no evidence confirming A pressing the door lock keypad or pushing and pulling the side door.

Jungkook's side reportedly requested a restraining order against A. A is said to have claimed that her actions were done out of love for Jungkook. Jungkook has taken legal measures to prevent further stalking harm.

In June of last year, a Chinese woman who pressed the front door password multiple times at Jungkook's home was apprehended, and in August, a woman in her 40s with Korean nationality unlawfully entered Jungkook's home parking lot, indicating ongoing stalking incidents. These cases have become serious issues threatening Jungkook's personal space and safety.

BTS, the group Jungkook belongs to, is scheduled to release their fifth full-length album, "ARIRANG," at 1 PM on the 20th. The new album will contain 14 tracks that showcase the current BTS. BTS enjoys great popularity both domestically and internationally, and their music and activities influence many fans.

This incident has once again highlighted the issue of stalking against celebrities. Stalking can seriously affect an individual's safety and mental well-being, necessitating legal responses and improvements in social awareness. The arrest and indictment of A are expected to serve as a wake-up call to society regarding this issue.
