Seventeen Seventeen's S.Coups and Mingyu top Japan's Oricon charts... 'HYPE VIBES' craze

Seventeen's S.Coups and Mingyu's first mini-album reclaimed the top spot on the Japan Oricon chart. According to Oricon on March 3, S.Coups and Mingyu's mini-album "HYPE VIBES" ranked number one on the "Daily Album Ranking" dated March 2. This rise in ranking is attributed to the successful performance of the "CxM [DOUBLE UP] LIVE PARTY" held in Japan last month.

Since its release on September 29 last year, "HYPE VIBES" has steadily gained popularity both domestically and internationally, with cumulative sales expected to exceed one million copies. At the time of release, this album recorded the highest first-week sales among K-pop unit albums and achieved the highest ranking for a K-pop unit on the US Billboard main album chart, the "Billboard 200."

"HYPE VIBES" was also highly popular in Japan. The album shipped over 100,000 copies within a day of release and received the Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Additionally, it ranked number one on major charts such as Oricon's "Weekly Album Ranking" and "Weekly Combined Album Ranking."

The "CxM [DOUBLE UP] LIVE PARTY" held last month in Aichi and Chiba sold out all shows, proving S.Coups and Mingyu's strong ticket power. This concert series will continue at Kaohsiung Arena from April 24 to 26.

Seventeen's new song "Tiny Light" is also receiving positive responses. The song debuted at number one on Japan AWA Music's real-time chart "The Hot 100" immediately after its release and ranked third on Oricon's "Daily Digital Single Ranking." "Tiny Light" will be used as the ending theme for Part 2 of the animation , which will be exclusively released worldwide on Netflix next month.

Through these achievements, Seventeen is further expanding K-pop's global influence and continuing music activities that meet fans' expectations.
