Actor Ryu Jin announced the news of his eldest son Chanhyung's college acceptance. In a video released on the YouTube channel "Women DongA" on the 4th, Ryu Jin and his wife Lee Hye-sun revealed that Chanhyung was accepted to Berklee College of Music. The video captures the joyful news of the couple celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary.

Ryu Jin described Chanhyung as "a very curious child. He used to talk about dreams like becoming a doctor or scientist, so this choice was unexpected," expressing surprise at Chanhyung's decision to major in music. He said, "The decision to choose music was more surprising than the fact that he was accepted to college." Chanhyung has a tendency to deeply pursue whatever he becomes interested in, and Ryu Jin expressed pride in the fact that his son achieved what he wanted to do.

Lee Hye-sun explained Chanhyung's college application process. She said, "He applied to only one university," and added, "Rather than preparing with a specific school in mind from the beginning, he reflected on his experiences as a youth culture interpreter during his school years and other experiences, and after considering which school suited him best, he chose Berklee." Lee Hye-sun mentioned that since it was their first time with the U.S. college admissions process, there were many unfamiliar and anxious moments as parents. She honestly shared, "Even though we trusted him, we were still worried."

Lee Hye-sun evaluated that Chanhyung has a strong will to create results on his own once he gains confidence. She added, "At first, I wondered if it was just arrogance, but it ultimately led to a good result." Chanhyung was accepted to Berklee College of Music with a major in Music Industry Leadership and is scheduled to enroll this August.

Ryu Jin married Lee Hye-sun, a former flight attendant, in 2006, and they have two sons, Chanhyung and Chanho. The family appeared on the past MBC variety show "Dad! Where Are We Going?" and received much love. Through the show, Ryu Jin left a warm image with viewers.
