【The Fact | Reporter Lee Na-rae】PLAVE has entered the Hall of Fame after ranking No.1 for 70 consecutive weeks on the Global Hot Star ranking of the weekly idol ranking site FANNSTAR.
From September 9 last year to January 26, 2026, PLAVE maintained the No.1 position in the FANNSTAR Global Hot Star vote. The Global Hot Star ranking is a vote in which K-pop fans around the world participate directly to select artists with global influence. Candidates mainly include fourth- and fifth-generation idols with established global fandoms.
The ranking draws particular attention because it is linked to the Global Hot Star Award at the “The Fact Music Awards.” The ongoing vote functions as a preliminary vote for next year’s award, with 20% of the results reflected in the final voting. The artist who finishes first will receive the Global Hot Star trophy at the ceremony.
This record is especially meaningful as it was created through the continued support and voting participation of fans. With the fandom’s ongoing encouragement, PLAVE continues to demonstrate overwhelming presence on the Global Hot Star ranking.
FANNSTAR provides various billboard support benefits depending on consecutive No.1 records. Ten consecutive weeks of No.1 leads to advertising on a horizontal billboard in Wangsimni, Seoul; thirty consecutive weeks results in wall wrapping ads at Hongdae Station; fifty consecutive weeks brings advertising on the Hongdae M Screen; and seventy consecutive weeks earns a congratulatory video on the PELE billboard in New York.
Fans are now focusing on the ultimate goal of 100 consecutive weeks at No.1. If achieved, a large-scale celebration will be displayed on the 9TO9 CUBE billboard at COEX Mall in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
There are also global benefits awarded to artists who reach certain cumulative vote totals regardless of ranking. These include billboards in the Philippines (100 million votes), Singapore (200 million votes), Vietnam (300 million votes), Hong Kong (500 million votes), and New York (1 billion votes).
Meanwhile, FANNSTAR, operated by The Fact, is a weekly idol ranking platform that provides fan voting and billboard support, serving as a playground for fandom culture. Votes such as the Group Ranking, Solo Ranking, and Global Hot Star Ranking begin every Monday and are open to fans worldwide.
