Young-tak proved his 'model student' status by stating, "I was a student leader consistently from the first grade of elementary school until high school," and adding, "I was the vice president in 5th grade, president in 6th grade, and continued to serve as class president and vice president during middle and high school".

Young-tak revealed that he boldly gave up his own opportunity for a close friend who desperately wanted to run for school president.
