While communicating with fans via Instagram Live, singer Hwang Chi-yeul added a heartwarming touch by sharing news of a special recent reunion.
On the 4th, after finishing the broadcast of SBS Power FM's 'Cultwo Show,' Hwang Chi-yeul started a live stream on his way home. He introduced his connection with a Taiwanese fan who visited the site that day, surprising everyone by revealing, "The baby I brought onto the stage during my Taipei concert 10 years ago has already grown this much and came to see me". Upon hearing that the little fan who used to kiss his cheek is now an adult and has grown nearly as tall as him, Hwang expressed his deep emotion, saying, "I was so glad to see them, and so much time has truly passed".
Following the touching story, Hwang’s uniquely humorous 'restaurant recommendation' time ensued. While recommending grilled pork belly (samgyeopsal), pork bone soup (gamjatang), and bibimbap to international fans visiting Korea, he presented a clear logic in response to fans' comments that the menu was too 'heavy'.
He caused laughter by claiming, "Why are gamjatang and samgyeopsal heavy? It's only heavy because you eat it until you feel heavy," adding, "If you eat it light, everything is a light menu". He also joked, "Even seasoned vegetables (namul) are heavy if you eat a lot," while boasting of his great appetite, stating he usually eats 2–3 servings of samgyeopsal by himself.
At the end of the broadcast, in response to a fan's comment that it was painful to hear him talk about food while they were on a diet, he didn't forget to offer kind comfort and encouragement, saying he sends his "sincere apologies".
Meanwhile, every Wednesday after 'Cultwo Show' ends, Hwang Chi-yeul consistently conducts live streams for fans far away who cannot visit SBS in Mok-dong, practicing his extraordinary love for his fans.
