Jimin, a member of the group BTS, has sparked a buzz by revealing a bold drinking preference that contrasts with his cute appearance.
Appearing on a past radio program, Jimin gave a candid answer to the "heavy drinker" rumors circulating among fans. During the broadcast, fans pointed out that "Jimin has unexpected alcohol tastes despite his soft looks," labeling him a "hardcore soju lover."
In response, Jimin unhesitatingly held up the "O" sign, confirming the claim. When asked if he likes soju, he surprised the production team and fans by saying, "It’s true. Lately, I’ve been enjoying the so-called 'Red Cap' soju, which has a higher alcohol content."
In particular, Jimin revealed his unique drinking habit. He said, "I tend to drink just the alcohol without eating much 'anju' (side dishes)." He drew laughter by sharing his "true drinker" logic: he avoids side dishes because being full prevents him from fully enjoying the drink.
Fans are reacting enthusiastically to Jimin's "manly" drinking style, which stands in stark contrast to his delicate performances on stage and his sweet, "Puppy-Cat" (Gang-yang-i) charm in daily life.
Fans sent their support for his honest and easygoing personality, commenting, "It's so unexpected that Jimin is a soju lover," "Not eating side dishes is something only real drinkers do," and "Red Cap soju? He’s a true Busan man after all."
