
Shaman Yoon Dae-man expressed his thoughts on winning 'Fate War 49.' On the 5th, Yoon posted a lengthy message on his social media account, sharing that he had spent a deep period of reflection and contemplation about his victory. He mentioned that he worried about not disappointing the seniors and juniors who have walked this path for many years and questioned whether his learning and capacity were sufficient.
Yoon emphasized that presenting Hanyang Gut in a public setting carries a heavy responsibility. He stated, "Although I have not neglected my studies and practice, I wanted to approach it with a more reverent heart." He also noted that some question revealing what should remain hidden in the shadows to the public. However, he added that those who follow the right path already stand in the light by their own radiance.
Regarding his participation in 'Fate War 49,' he explained that indigenous beliefs, established as national intangible heritage and city/provincial cultural heritage, are precious traditions that have breathed alongside 5,000 years of history. Yoon expressed regret that the original value has been blurred due to some distorted portrayals and said he decided to appear on the show to contribute even a small effort to convey the true form and sincerity.
Yoon deeply thanked everyone for their warm interest and support and pledged to firmly uphold the unique values, comfort the hearts of those struggling, and practice empathy and sharing. He also conveyed that he will continue learning about Gut and rituals without ceasing and walk the path of righteousness with humility.
Yoon Dae-man, originally a traditional Korean musician, is a fifth-year shaman and won the final victory on Disney+'s 'Fate War 49.' The final episode was released on the 4th.
