After discovering the sacrifice made by his older brother Sun Woo-jin, whom he had resented his whole life, he exploded with despair and sorrow, drawing viewers deeply into the story.

In episode 9, which aired on the 4th, Sun Tae-hyung learned that his father, Ryu Seung-soo, had approached with the intention of money. When his father attacked Woo Hyun-jin while searching the house, Sun Tae-hyung protected Woo Hyun-jin despite being injured on the face. Afterwards, he pleaded with his father to "please stop," showing a breakdown caused by the betrayal committed under the name of family.

The biggest turning point came when he realized that his older brother Sun Woo-jin, whom he had resented all his life, had actually been sacrificing himself alone to protect him from their violent father.
