Cortis sells 2 million copies with debut... rewriting K-pop history

CORTIS has become a 'double million-seller' with their debut album. According to Big Hit Music on the 6th, CORTIS's debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES has surpassed 2 million cumulative album sales based on the latest Circle Chart data. Among K-pop groups, only ZEROBASEONE and CORTIS have exceeded 2 million cumulative sales with their debut albums.

CORTIS is the third boy group debuted by Big Hit Music following BTS and Tomorrow X Together (TXT). They began activities last September with the release of COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES. About two months after its release, in November, the album recorded cumulative sales of 1 million copies, becoming a million-seller.

COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES has maintained steady popularity by staying on the Billboard World Albums chart in the U.S. for 25 consecutive weeks. The success of this album has contributed to raising CORTIS's global recognition.

Recently, CORTIS became the first K-pop artist to perform at the halftime show of the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, a representative event during the NBA All-Star Weekend. They also participated in singing "Mention Me," an insert song for Sony Pictures Animation's new release GOAT. These activities have increased their visibility in the overseas music market.

Big Hit Music stated, "Original content showing the members' unfiltered daily lives and behind-the-scenes moments, along with participation in large-scale performances, have played a significant role in attracting new fandoms." CORTIS is strengthening communication with fans through these strategies, which positively impacts the group's growth.

CORTIS's success is regarded as a case that once again proves competitiveness within the K-pop industry. They have recorded high sales in a short period since their debut, securing an important position in the global K-pop market. The reason for the high expectations for CORTIS's future activities lies in their musical capabilities, stage manners, and ways of communicating with fans.

CORTIS plans to continue contributing to raising the status of K-pop through various musical attempts and global activities. Building on the success of their debut album, they are planning future album releases and concert schedules, and are expected to grow further through continuous communication with fans.

CORTIS's trajectory in the K-pop market is expected to have a significant impact on other rookie groups as well. They are setting new standards through the success of their debut album, which will have a positive influence on the future of K-pop. CORTIS's music and activities are expected to continue attracting much attention.
