MBC has confirmed the premiere date for its new Friday-Saturday drama, "21st Century Grand Lady." The first episode is scheduled to air on April 10, following the currently airing drama "In Your Brilliant Season." "21st Century Grand Lady" consists of a total of 12 episodes.

Initially, MBC considered airing "21st Century Grand Lady" in the first or second week of April, but due to the Korea-Japan match in the "2026 World Baseball Classic" on March 7, "In Your Brilliant Season" was preempted. As a result, the ending of that drama was delayed by one week, setting the premiere date of "21st Century Grand Lady" to the 10th.

"21st Century Grand Lady" is set in the constitutional monarchy of 21st century South Korea. The drama is a social status-breaking romance that deals with the fate of a woman who is a chaebol with everything except noble status and a man who is the king's son but has nothing. The lead role of Seong Hee-joo is played by IU, and Byeon Woo-seok portrays Prince Ian.

IU plays Seong Hee-joo, a chaebol who has everything except noble status, while Byeon Woo-seok takes on the role of Prince Ian, who did not become king. Both actors chose this drama as their next project following "Tricked Completely" and "Run with Seon-jae," respectively.
