The movie "A Man Living with the King" has surpassed 9.21 million viewers, bringing it close to reaching 10 million viewers. According to the integrated computer network for movie theater ticket sales, as of March 2, "A Man Living with the King" ranked first at the box office. The daily audience count was 728,982, and the cumulative audience reached 9,213,408.

"A Man Living with the King" is set in Cheongnyeongpo in 1457 and tells the story of a village chief who chooses exile for the revival of his village and a young former king who was dethroned. Yoo Hae-jin, Park Ji-hoon, Yoo Ji-tae, and Jeon Mi-do star, showcasing an ensemble performance. It currently holds the top spot in reservation rates as well.

During the Samiljeol holiday, "A Man Living with the King" attracted over 2.2 million viewers. According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system, 2,201,912 people watched the film from February 28 to March 2, the Samiljeol holiday period. The cumulative audience is 9,213,408, with about 790,000 viewers remaining to reach 10 million. This holiday performance is about 200,000 more than the 2 million recorded during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Generally, the number of viewers tends to decrease over time after a movie's release, but "A Man Living with the King" is showing an unusual upward trend with increasing audience numbers. It consistently draws around 200,000 viewers even on weekdays, and its reservation rate remains among the top ranks. Industry experts predict that it will surpass 10 million viewers as early as late this week or by the weekend at the latest.

The milestone of 10 million viewers for "A Man Living with the King" is drawing attention as the first 10 million viewer film in about two years since "The Outlaws 4" in 2024. Along with this, director Jang Hang-jun's remarks are gaining renewed attention. Director Jang stated, "If 'A Man Living with the King' surpasses 10 million viewers, I will undergo plastic surgery, change my name, and naturalize in another country," attracting interest. As the achievement of 10 million viewers comes into sight, these remarks are being revisited.

The second place at the box office is "Humint." "Humint" recorded a daily audience of 41,515 and a cumulative audience of 1,863,688, steadily attracting viewers. This film is set in Vladivostok and depicts a clash between characters with different objectives. It has been praised for its intense action combined with deep emotions and stars Jo In-sung, Park Jung-min, Park Hae-joon, and Shin Se-kyung.

In third place is the animation "Hoppers." Before its release, "Hoppers" attracted 29,415 viewers daily and a cumulative audience of 52,411 through preview screenings. The story follows a girl named Mabel who becomes a robot beaver through the "Hopping" technology that transfers human consciousness into animal robots and embarks on an adventure infiltrating the animal world. It is scheduled to be released on the 4th and is gaining attention as Pixar's animal adventure.

In fourth place is "God's Orchestra," and fifth place is "5 Centimeters per Second." These two works attract audiences in their respective genres, captivating viewers with diverse stories and characters.

The success of "A Man Living with the King" is having a positive impact on the film industry, drawing concentrated interest from audiences. Whether it will surpass 10 million viewers will be determined by future viewing trends.
