'Change Street' delivered deep emotions through musical exchanges between Korean and Japanese artists. In episode 10 of ENA's 'Change Street' (directed by Oh Joon-sung), which aired on March 6, artists from Korea and Japan performed stages filled with their own sensibilities. This program creates a new cultural exchange platform where artists from the two countries communicate through music, crossing each other's streets and languages.
In this broadcast, under Tokyo Tower, the Korean team consisting of Kara Heo Young-ji, Astro Yoon San-ha, Pentagon's Hui, and HYNN (Park Hye-won) performed, while on the rooftop of the Autograph Collection Hotel in Hongdae, Seoul, the Japanese team Miwa and Kanou Miyu took the stage.
Hui started the stage by selecting BTS's 'Even If I Die, It's You,' the OST of the drama 'Hwarang.' He reinterpreted the song with a different color by adding a hip vibe over a rhythmic band sound. Hui's relaxed gestures and overwhelming gaze captivated the audience, and MC Shin Dong-yup commented on his charm, saying, "It's the expression of someone who knows he's handsome."
Yoon San-ha chose K.Will's 'Tell Me! What Are You Doing?' from the OST of the drama 'Descendants of the Sun.' His unpretentious voice and lovely gestures conveyed soft emotions to the audience. While maintaining the excitement of the original song, Yoon San-ha added his own refreshing color, bringing smiles to the audience.
Heo Young-ji selected Patti Kim's 'Farewell' to change the atmosphere. She calmly built up emotions through a traditional ballad stage and left a deep impression in the latter part. Heo Young-ji shared her thoughts, saying, "I was very worried before singing this song, but I think the atmosphere was all set, so I finished well."
HYNN (Park Hye-won) chose Davichi's 'It's Okay, That's Love,' the OST of the drama 'It's Okay, That's Love.' Her vocal ability and deep emotion soaked the air of Tokyo, and as the stage progressed, the gathering crowd proved the heat of the scene.
On the Seoul stage, the Japanese team Miwa and Kanou Miyu conveyed their emotions. Miwa sang ID's 'Marigold,' delivering a refreshing mood, and Kanou Miyu impressed the audience by spontaneously singing Korean singer Younha's 'Password 486' in Korean. Kanou Miyu selected Every Little Thing's 'Time Goes By,' the OST of the drama 'Sweet Marriage,' and expressed the song's emotion plainly with her clear tone.
The protagonists of the 'Street Song' that day were Yoon San-ha and Miwa. Yoon San-ha performed his song 'EXTRA VIRGIN' at the Fuji TV observatory. The stage, with the Rainbow Bridge spreading beyond the glass walls, created a scene like a music video. Miwa chose her original song 'With Light' at the 118th-floor Lotte Tower observatory in Seoul, delivering emotions with her clear voice and guitar melody.
After the performances, Shin Dong-yup emphasized that the stages held in special locations are the distinguishing feature of 'Change Street.' The MC and panelists shared their emotions while recalling their past performance experiences. Takahashi Ai remembered singing in the back of a truck, and Yunho recalled performing in a university auditorium. Shin Dong-yup shared his memory of performing in a small theater for just one couple, emphasizing the importance of communication with the audience.
