Rookie boy group NAZE will officially debut in the Korean music industry in May. On the 6th, NAZE released content on their official SNS accounts announcing their imminent debut. On the same day, the subtitle "NAZE May Debut Confirmed" appeared at the end of episode 8 of the drama DREAM STAGE, which aired on Japan's terrestrial channel TBS.
Their agency, C9 Entertainment, stated, "NAZE has decided to debut in May and is accelerating preparations. Based on the growth story built through comprehensive promotions, they plan to present a highly polished final product."
NAZE consists of Kaisei, Yoon-gi, Ato, Turn, Yuya, Kim Gun, and Dohyuk. They are C9 Entertainment's first rookie boy group in five years and the company's first multinational boy group since its establishment. Even before their debut, they gained attention by being cast in the Japanese TBS prime-time drama DREAM STAGE. The drama aired not only in Japan earlier this year but also on domestic channels tvN, Channel J, and TVING. In the drama, NAZE appears as K-pop trainees, portraying the growth story of the team preparing for their actual debut.
NAZE actively carried out online and offline promotions linked to DREAM STAGE. They directly participated in the drama's OST "Wanderlust," the theme songs "BABYBOO," "Little Star," and "Isn't She Lovely?". They successfully completed a drama showcase tour in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka. Unusually for rookies, they appeared on Japan's leading music show CDTV Live! Live! and performed on stage.
Beyond music and performances, NAZE was invited twice to perform at Japan's largest fashion festival, TGC. They also increased their recognition by appearing consecutively at major local illumination events and several flagship variety shows on TBS. They conducted interviews and photo shoots with 19 major Japanese media outlets and received offers from well-known brands. Through TBS's official YouTube channel and Japan's private broadcaster official catch-up service Tver, they released more than 20 episodes of the reality content Nazedori (ナゼドリ?) ~NAZE? DREAM STAGE~, showcasing the team's chemistry.
NAZE has demonstrated strong global potential even before their debut. They will officially enter the Korean music scene in May and begin full-scale music activities.
