Lee Je-hoon praises '5 Centimeters per Second'... "A sense of kinship with Seung-min from Architecture 101"


Actor Lee Je-hoon praised the film "5 Centimeters per Second." "5 Centimeters per Second" is a work that deals with the love and longing between Takaki and Akari, who move forward at different speeds while cherishing childhood memories. Director Yoshiyuki Okuyama and actor Noah Shiroyama, who played the young Akari, attended this visit to Korea event and had time to communicate with Korean audiences.

On the morning of the GV day, Lee Je-hoon visited the theater to watch "5 Centimeters per Second" and said, "I was happy to watch it in the theater, fully feeling the originality of the film." He mentioned that the emotion conveyed by the unique texture of the film camera was impressive and added, "I think it will be a work whose afterimage lasts a long time."

Regarding the character Kanae, played by Nana Mori, who secretly loves Takaki in the film, Lee Je-hoon said, "I really liked how actress Nana Mori delicately expressed the expressions and emotions that cannot be hidden when feeling love as an audience." He added that he felt a sense of affinity with the character Seung-min, whom he played in "Architecture 101," because of the heart that cannot properly express feelings of love. He especially mentioned that the scene where the rocket is launched was very impressive.

Director Yoshiyuki Okuyama evaluated Nana Mori as "an actress with excellent physicality and quick reflexes when acting" and explained that they made great efforts to capture unconscious actions that the actors did not plan.

Lee Je-hoon said, "Including the performances of the child actors, I thought it was a work in which all the actors' performances were outstanding among the Japanese films I have recently watched." He revealed, "There is a line in the film that says the probability of people meeting is 0.0003%, and I was very happy and delighted to share a good work with you, whom I met by this tremendous probability."

"5 Centimeters per Second" is currently screening nationwide. This work deeply moves the audience and is receiving much praise for its content that reminds people of pure childhood love and longing.
