The group JO1 showcased their strong teamwork in member Issei Mamehara's hometown, Okayama, successfully completing their fan concert showcase.
A behind-the-scenes video released on JO1’s official YouTube channel on the 8th captured the strong friendship and love for the hometown among the members at the Okayama concert venue.
The concert was held in Okayama, the hometown of member Issei Mamehara. Although Mamehara was unable to join the stage due to health reasons, he personally prepared a variety of snacks, including Okayama's specialties such as "Ote-manju," "Takasebune Yokan," and "Hiruzen Yogurt" for the members. The members were deeply moved by the unexpected gifts, exclaiming, "Mame prepared this for us," and expressing their gratitude.
The members were especially captivated by the unique boat-shaped packaging and rich flavor of the "Takasebune Yokan". Enchanted by the texture of the sugar granules on the yokan, the members paired it with warm coffee and enjoyed a happy "sugar-charging" time, describing it as "feeling like New Year's Day". Some members even praised it so much that they said they must buy it as gifts for their families after the show.
The members' determination to fill Mamehara's absence also shone through. They said, "We heard Mame's family is coming today," and added, "We’ll eat the snacks Mame prepared, gain energy, and deliver even more love to his family". Their spirit of encouraging each other right up until the performance left a deep impression on local fans.
Meanwhile, JO1 has been continuing their showcase tour across Japan following the release of their 10th single, solidifying their position as a global group based on their distinctive performances and strong fandom.
