Singer Young Tak showcased his friendly charm by revealing a bibimbap recipe using bomdong (spring cabbage), a seasonal spring green.
On the 3rd, a video capturing Young Tak’s daily life of cooking and eating for himself was posted on his official YouTube channel, ‘Park Young Tak.’ In the video, Young Tak stimulated viewers' appetites by choosing bomdong, a vegetable only available in spring, as his main ingredient.
At first, Young Tak seemed unfamiliar with it, asking, “What is bomdong?” but soon began cooking in earnest after hearing it was a vegetable that only grows in spring. He created his own special sauce by adding 3 spoons of red pepper powder, minced garlic, 3 spoons of fish sauce, 2 spoons of tuna soy sauce, 2 spoons of vinegar, and fragrant sesame oil. After preparing the freshly washed bomdong into bite-sized pieces, he tossed them in the sauce and topped it with warm rice, a fried egg, and sesame seeds to complete Young Tak-style bomdong bibimbap.
Upon tasting the completed dish, Young Tak reacted with satisfaction, saying, “It’s delicious, nothing to it!” He particularly showed off a unique ‘food pairing’ by placing bibimbap and kimchi on seaweed bought from the market, repeatedly exclaiming, “It’s a success” and “It’s so delicious.” Having cleared the entire bowl, he delivered pleasant energy to the viewers.
Fans who watched the video sent enthusiastic responses to Young Tak’s friendly cooking routine, saying, “The bibimbap Young Tak made looks truly delicious,” “It’s great to see him eating seasonal food,” and “I’m having bomdong bibimbap for dinner tonight, too.”
