Comedian Lee Seung-yoon revealed the appearance fee for "I Am a Natural Person" and a thrilling experience he had during filming. In a video released on the YouTube channel "Jo Dongari" on the 8th, Lee Seung-yoon and Yoon Taek shared behind-the-scenes stories of the long-running MBN program "I Am a Natural Person."
In the video, Yoon Taek said, "It's true that I appear on 'I Am a Natural Person' every other week, but I'm not in the mountains all week long. When they contact me to work together, I have time, but Seung-yoon is always unavailable." Lee Seung-yoon added, "I mostly do lectures for local governments. When I talk about what I felt while filming 'I Am a Natural Person,' they like it."
Lee Seung-yoon explained the background of his appearance on "I Am a Natural Person." He recalled, "During a 'Gag Concert' meeting, I got a call about a nature-related program and was asked to be the sole MC. My heart raced. I didn't know what it was, but I said yes and went. Then I started hiking. Someone was there, and I met a naked natural person." He revealed that the first broadcast recorded MBN's highest ratings ever, and the PD suggested, "It might be hard to go every week, so it would be good to recruit one more person and go as a duo." That's when Yoon Taek joined.
Lee Seung-yoon said, "We both get the same appearance fee. It has never been different until now. We have done a few commercials, but mostly things like valley advertisements came in." He emphasized, "Our goal is to be the longest-running program in the country. Our goal is to work together for a long time." Yoon Taek said, "I used to think it would be nice to do it for about 10 years, but 15 years have passed. I plan to continue until 20 years and then step down. Since I'm five years older, I'll be 60 then." Lee Seung-yoon said, "If Yoon Taek hyung quits after five more years, I will quit too," but added, "My personal wish is for the two of us to make broadcasting history in Korea. If hyung quits after five years, I will try to persuade him to continue."
Lee Seung-yoon mentioned an experience of being stung by a giant hornet during filming, saying, "I almost died from a hornet sting." He explained the situation at the time: "It wasn't cardiac arrest, but I lost consciousness. I was stung on the shoulder. They have venomous stingers more than 500 times stronger than regular bees, and since I have an allergic constitution, I went into anaphylactic shock. It was very dangerous." At first, he thought he was okay and tried to continue filming, but he was urged by those around him to rush to the hospital.
Lee Seung-yoon said, "On the way to the emergency room, the reaction started. My tongue curled up, I couldn't breathe, and my face began to swell," and confessed, "At that moment, I thought if I lost consciousness, I might not wake up." He said, "When I heard there wasn't much time left to the hospital, I felt relieved. After knowing we were almost there, I lost my memory from then on," and added, "When I opened my eyes, there was a tube in my nose in the emergency room. At that moment, I thought, 'I could go so easily like this.'"
Lee Seung-yoon added that after this incident, he felt he needed to live more diligently. He also expressed his affection for the program, emphasizing, "The goal is to become the longest-running program in the country. Our goal is to work together for a long time." Yoon Taek said, "When the time comes to consider stepping down, it will be when I turn 60." Lee Seung-yoon conveyed his trust in his longtime partner, saying, "If hyung steps down, I think I will quit together."
