Broadcaster Sayuri revealed a funny incident with her son. On the 8th, Sayuri posted a photo on her Instagram story with the phrase, "Zen put up a 'No Smoking' sign before going to bed." In the photo, a no-smoking sign can be seen on the bathroom wall. Sayuri explained, "It seems like the smell came up from the drain, but my son put this up because he said there was a cigarette smell in mom's bathroom."
Sayuri gave birth to her son Zen in 2020 by receiving sperm donation from a Westerner while remaining unmarried. In the past, she appeared on KBS's "News 9" and explained the background of her choice, saying, "The obstetrician told me that natural pregnancy was difficult and even if I did IVF right away, the chances of success were not high," and added, "I didn't want to rush into marriage with someone I didn't love."
In November 2024, Sayuri shared her thoughts on marriage on Channel A's variety show "Dad is a Flower Middle-aged Man." She said, "I want to get married anytime. It's not that I absolutely don't want to get married." However, she added, "As a single mom with a child, I'm cautious about dating."
Sayuri mentioned the story with her son Zen again, saying, "Zen put up a 'No Smoking' sign before going to bed because he said there was a cigarette smell in mom's bathroom." She then explained, "It seems like the smell came up from the drain," sharing her son's cute misunderstanding.
Sayuri is currently raising her son Zen as a single mom and shares her parenting daily life through her YouTube channel. She recently appeared on MBN's variety show "Sokpuri Show Dongchimi" and conveyed Zen's inner thoughts. Sayuri said, "These days, Zen often says he wishes he had a biological older sister or brother," and added, "He says he wishes he had a brother, not a younger sibling."
Through her daily life with her son, Sayuri resonates with many people and honestly shares various parenting concerns. Her openness brings comfort and empathy to many parents.
