Suspicion of Ticket Macros for BTS Comeback Concert... Police Launch Investigation

The police have identified criminal circumstances related to BTS's comeback performance and have launched an investigation. On the 9th, Park Jung-bo, Chief of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, shared the response status regarding the BTS concert scheduled for the 21st at a regular press briefing held at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The police are currently investigating a total of three criminal acts. Chief Park stated, "We have launched an investigation due to suspicions of mass ticket purchases using macro programs. There is also a ticket transfer complaint case." NOL Ticket, the ticket sales organizer, detected illegal activities and requested a police investigation. Additionally, fraudulent crimes involving the resale of free concert tickets for tens of thousands of won have occurred.

To prevent BTS concert ticket fraud, the police are continuously monitoring and cracking down. They have requested the deletion and blocking of about 110 posts promoting proxy ticketing and similar activities.

Thorough preparations are also being made to prevent safety accidents on the day of the performance. The police estimate that up to 260,000 people will gather around Gwanghwamun and plan to deploy 4,800 personnel, including riot police. HYBE has also decided to deploy additional safety management personnel. HYBE plans to station 4,300 people around the concert site to manage the crowd and maintain order.

Meanwhile, BTS will make a comeback with the fifth full-length album 'Arirang' at 1 p.m. on the 20th. On the 21st, the new song stage will be unveiled for the first time around Gwanghwamun Square.
