DAY6's Wonpil to release first mini album 'Unpiltered' on March 30... Solo activities in full swing

DAY6 member Wonpil is making a comeback as a solo singer. On March 9, Wonpil revealed the sound film poster for his first mini album, "Unpiltered," through DAY6's official account. The new album will be released on various music platforms at 6 p.m. on March 30. The album title "Unpiltered" is a combination of "unfiltered" and the "pil" in Wonpil's name. Wonpil's first solo album title, "Pilmography," was also derived from "Pil" and "filmography."

It has been about four years since Wonpil last released new music as a solo artist. He announced his solo debut by releasing his first full-length album "Pilmography" on February 7, 2022. The track "Wish You Luck" from this album climbed back up the music charts every New Year's Day, becoming known as the "New Year's pension song." His second solo album is also expected to be filled with Wonpil's self-composed songs.

Wonpil entered the music industry in 2015 as the vocalist and keyboardist of the JYP Entertainment band DAY6. He has credits on numerous group albums and songs by the unit DAY6 (Even of Day). For his first solo album "Pilmography," he wrote and composed all 10 tracks, including the title song "Goodbye, See You," creating an album with an organically connected structure.

Expectations are growing for Wonpil's new release. Last year, to celebrate DAY6's 10th anniversary, he released the digital single "Maybe Tomorrow" with team leader Sungjin and members Young K and Dowoon in May. This was followed by the release of the fourth full-length album "The DECADE" in September and the Christmas special single "Lovin' the Christmas" in December.

DAY6 continues active performance activities befitting their identity as a band. They started a nationwide tour early in the year, held a concert at KSPO DOME in May, and will hold the first-ever stadium concert by a domestic band in August. They are also scheduled to hold a year-end concert at KSPO DOME in December.

In the new year of 2026, DAY6 continues to connect with fans through their tour. After successfully completing performances at Daegu EXCO on February 7 and 8, DAY6 plans to perform at Gwangju Kimdaejung Convention Center on March 14 and 15, DCC Daejeon Convention Center on March 21 and 22, and Busan BEXCO on May 16 and 17. Additionally, overseas performances are scheduled in Singapore on April 18, Tokyo from April 25 to 26, and Kobe from June 20 to 21.

Wonpil's solo album and DAY6's concert schedule are attracting great interest from K-pop fans. Wonpil conveys his own stories through music, while DAY6 continues their activities as a team.
