Bang Chan and Lee Know of the group Stray Kids shared their individual definitions of "romance," showcasing the deep chemistry unique to the group's eldest members.
In the video "[2 Kids Room 2025] Ep.14 Bang Chan X Lee Know" recently released on Stray Kids' official YouTube channel, the two discussed their hobbies, such as camping, fishing, and cooking, and drew attention by revealing contrasting views on the keyword "romance".
Lee Know presented a very unique and firm standard for romance. He defined it by saying, "If I gain something from doing something, that’s just a 'good thing' and not romance," revealing a paradoxical philosophy that "romance is only completed when I suffer a certain amount of loss". This highlighted Lee Know’s cool sensibility of enjoying the very inefficiency of even strenuous camping or fishing.
On the other hand, the leader Bang Chan emphasized emotional bonding and the value of sharing. After hearing Lee Know's explanation, Bang Chan laughed and said, "I don't think I understood that explanation itself," and replied, "For me, the 'shared experience' itself, like having a party, going on a trip together, or setting up a tent together, is romance". His warm nature as a leader who puts the members first was clearly reflected in his definition of romance.
Although their definitions of romance differed, they were more reliable "romance partners" than anyone else in real life. An anecdote from their recent South America tour, where Lee Know gathered members' opinions to organize a ceremony draft and Bang Chan stayed up all night editing the video based on those opinions, proved how much synergy is created when their different types of romance meet.
Fans who saw the video showed enthusiastic responses, saying, "Lee Know’s definition of romance is so philosophical and refreshing," "I was moved by Bang Chan’s words about being together," and "The conversation between the two itself is romance," as they cheered for their friendship.
