Singer Hwang Chi-yeul brought joy to fans by sharing a simple and cute anecdote from his early days in Seoul on the subway.
During a recent official Instagram Live broadcast, Hwang Chi-yeul communicated with fans on his way home after finishing a recording for the radio show 'Cultwo Show' and reminisced about the past. A particularly eye-catching part of the broadcast was the 'subway mukbang' episode he experienced when he first moved to Seoul.
Hwang Chi-yeul recalled buying 'Deli Manjoo,' which gives off a delicious aroma inside the subway, shortly after moving from Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, to Seoul. He vividly described the situation: "At that time, I didn't really know if I was allowed to eat food on the subway, so I was very nervous." He watched people's reactions and hid behind his bag to eat the Deli Manjoo secretly.
What relieved Hwang Chi-yeul while he was eating nervously was none other than the passenger in the next seat. He brought laughter to viewers by sharing, "I happened to look next to me and saw someone eating Shrimp Crackers very comfortably. Only then did I realize, 'Ah, it's okay to eat,' and I was able to enjoy the rest of the Deli Manjoo with peace of mind."
Fans who watched the video showed enthusiastic responses, such as "It's a cute anecdote that anyone new to the city can relate to," "The smell of Deli Manjoo is hard to resist," and "The passenger eating Shrimp Crackers was Hwang Chi-yeul's savior."
