Young Tak, a Hardcore 'Dragon Ball' Fan?... A 'Dragon Ball Panegyric' While Building a Time Machine

Singer Young Tak revealed his deep love for the legendary animation 'Dragon Ball,' fully displaying his side as a true 'otaku.'

In the video titled "Bomdong? What's That?" released on Young Tak's official YouTube channel on the 3rd, Young Tak took up the hobby of building a 'Dragon Ball' plastic model after enjoying a meal of Bomdong (spring cabbage) bibimbap. The model he chose was the 'Time Machine' that the character Trunks traveled in from the future.

The assembly process was not entirely smooth. While detaching parts, a sudden accident occurred where the glass canopy—the core part of the time machine—cracked. However, Young Tak did not panic, instead using miraculous logic to draw laughter by saying, "I remember Trunks broke the lid to come out when he arrived in the past," and "It's fine if you look at it as a manga-style direction." He even showed professional flair by adding details with a pen to use the crack to create a 'worn-out look.'

Throughout the assembly, Young Tak showed off his knowledge as a 'true fan' who understands the vast world of Dragon Ball. Mentioning villains from various chapters starting from Frieza to Cell and Majin Buu, he expressed high respect for the work, saying, "The imagination, direction, and character details of Dragon Ball have had a tremendous influence on the action scenes of many existing animations and Hollywood movies."

Specifically, when introducing the Trunks figure from the future, he described the character's features in detail, saying, "You have to wear a jacket and have a 5:5 hair part to get that Trunks vibe." After finishing the assembly with great focus, Young Tak concluded the video by placing Trunks inside the finished time machine, looking as happy as a child.

Fans who saw the video responded enthusiastically, saying, "Young Tak was also from the Dragon Ball generation," "The way he explains things makes him look like an expert," and "He's truly the king of positivity for turning a broken part into a creative direction."
