The group Stray Kids won four awards at the 40th Japan Gold Disc Awards. With this, Stray Kids set the record for the most awards won by an overseas artist. The Japan Gold Disc Awards are hosted by the Recording Industry Association of Japan and are now in their 40th year. The awards are based on sales performance of albums, videos, and other media from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
Stray Kids received honors in four categories: Best Asian Artist, Album of the Year, Best 3 Albums, and Music Video of the Year (Asia). The Album of the Year and Best 3 Albums awards were given for their Japanese mini-album "Hollow." The Music Video of the Year (Asia) award was given for the live Blu-ray of the offline fan event held locally in 2024, "Stray Kids Fan Connecting 2024 'SKZ TOY WORLD.'"
Stray Kids are actively performing on the global stage. In 2025, they set a new milestone in Billboard history by achieving their eighth consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the main US Billboard chart. On the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) 2025 annual global chart, their fourth full-length album "KARMA" ranked second on the Global Album Sales Chart, the highest position ever for a K-pop artist. Additionally, they were the only K-pop artist to enter the top 10 on both the Global Artist Chart and the Global Album Chart.
Stray Kids will hold their sixth official fan meeting, "Stray Kids 6TH FANMEETING 'STAY in Our Little House,'" on March 28 and 29, and April 4 and 5 at the Incheon Inspire Arena. This fan meeting is designed to strengthen communication with fans and celebrate their musical achievements.
Winning four awards at the Japan Gold Disc Awards once again proved Stray Kids' high-quality albums and content, as well as their influence as a global artist. Stray Kids will continue to engage with fans through various activities and contribute to raising the status of K-pop.
