TWS wins two awards at Japan Gold Disc Awards... Proves to be Asia's rising star just 6 months after debut

The group TWS received the 'Asia Best New Artist' trophy at a prestigious award ceremony in Japan. According to HYBE Music Group label Pledis Entertainment on the 12th, TWS won the 'New Artist of the Year (Asia)' and 'Best 3 New Artists (Asia)' categories at the 40th Japan Gold Disc Awards.

In their acceptance speech, TWS said, "We are grateful to receive such an honorable award. Thanks to 42 (the fandom name) who support us." They added, "We will do our best this year as well so that many people can enjoy TWS's music."

The Japan Gold Disc Awards, hosted by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, honor artists and works that have contributed to the development of the music industry. Winners are selected based on album and music video sales, streaming, and download figures from the past year. The 'Best 3 New Artists (Asia)' award, which TWS received, is given to the top three new artists from Asia excluding Japan, and the 'New Artist of the Year (Asia)' award is given to the group with the highest sales.

Since debuting in Japan last July, TWS has gained great popularity. Their debut single "Nice to see you again (original title はじめまして / Hajimemashite)" dominated major weekly charts such as Oricon and Billboard Japan in its first week, winning a total of four awards. The album surpassed 250,000 cumulative shipments and received a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

TWS ranked second, the highest among overseas artists, in the 'New Artist Ranking' of the Oricon Annual Ranking 2025. Based on these record-breaking achievements, they actively performed on various stages. They held their first fan meeting in Japan, "2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING <42:CLUB> IN JAPAN," and their first tour, "2025 TWS TOUR '24/7:WITH:US' IN JAPAN," connecting with a total of 80,000 fans.

TWS also appeared at major music festivals such as the "ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025" and "COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26." Additionally, they participated in Fuji TV's year-end special program "2025 FNS Music Festival," continuing their active promotions.

From the 27th to the 29th, TWS will hold their second fan meeting, "2026 TWS 2ND FANMEETING <42:CLUB> IN SEOUL," at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Following that, from the 8th to the 9th of next month, they will continue with a fan meeting in Yokohama at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Through various activities, TWS plans to further solidify their presence in Asia.
