The group Stray Kids set a record for the most awards won by an overseas artist by winning four awards at the 40th Japan Gold Disc Awards. On the 11th, the Japan Gold Disc Awards announced on their official website that Stray Kids received the 'Best Asian Artist' award and, in the Asia category, 'Album of the Year,' 'Best 3 Albums,' and 'Music Video of the Year.'
At this ceremony, Stray Kids won multiple awards with their third Japanese mini-album "Hollow" and the offline fan event live video. Hosted by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, this awards ceremony marked its 40th edition this year and selects winners based on album and video sales from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
Stray Kids achieved eight consecutive No. 1 positions on the US Billboard main chart, the Billboard 200, last year. This reconfirms their achievements as a K-pop artist. Additionally, on the 2025 annual global chart released by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), their fourth full-length album "KARMA" ranked second on the Global Album Sales Chart. As a result, Stray Kids is the only Korean artist to place within the top 10 on both the Global Artist Chart and the Global Album Chart.
Stray Kids will hold their sixth official fan meeting at Incheon Inspire Arena on March 28 and 29, and April 4 and 5. This fan meeting will be held under the title "Stray Kids 6TH FANMEETING 'STAY in Our Little House'." Additionally, in June and September, they are scheduled to perform as headliners at The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York, USA, and Rock in Rio in Brazil.
Stray Kids' recent awards recognize their high-quality albums and content, as well as their active activities in the global market. The Japan Gold Disc Awards are divided into Japanese music, Asian music, and Western music categories, and this year's winners included K-pop artists such as Ailee and TWS, in addition to Stray Kids.
By winning the most awards as an overseas artist, Stray Kids further solidified their position as a "Global Top Artist." They plan to continue active promotions and communicate with fans on various stages in the future.
