Lee Seung-yoon "'I Am Nature' offered solo MC position"... Yoon Taek reveals behind-the-scenes of joining

Comedian Lee Seung-yoon shared his thoughts on leaving the MBN program "I Am Nature." In a video recently released on the YouTube channel "Jo Dongari," Lee Seung-yoon and Yoon Taek shared behind-the-scenes stories from the program's filming. Lee Seung-yoon explained how he joined the program, saying, "During a 'Gag Concert' meeting, I received a proposal to be the sole MC of a nature-related program." He recalled, "I went in with high expectations because it was a solo hosting role, but we kept climbing the mountain."

During the first shoot, Lee Seung-yoon recalled a moment of surprise, saying, "There was no direction from the PD, only the camera following me, and when we reached the summit, the naturalist was completely naked." He added that they continued filming to maintain the reality aspect. The filming process was not easy. Lee Seung-yoon reminisced about the tough shoots, saying, "In the first episode, I ate fish head curry, and in the second episode, I ate raw sambar deer liver." He said, "It was so tough that I even told my company to refuse if they offered me a second shoot."

However, the show received good ratings after airing. Lee Seung-yoon mentioned, "The ratings were good after the first broadcast. It was unusually high for a general programming channel program." To reduce the burden, the production team proposed a two-MC system, and Yoon Taek joined from the fourth episode. Lee Seung-yoon said, "Brother Yoon Taek was like a savior to me."

They also revealed dangerous moments during filming. Lee Seung-yoon recalled experiencing anaphylactic shock after being stung by a giant hornet, explaining, "My tongue curled up, I had trouble breathing, and my whole body swelled." He said, "I was taken to the emergency room by ambulance, and I thought if I lost consciousness, I might not wake up, so I held on until I lost consciousness just before arriving at the hospital."

Regarding their appearance fees, Lee Seung-yoon stated, "Brother Yoon Taek and I have never received different amounts. We have always been paid the same fee." He also mentioned that the "naturalists" appearing on the program receive appearance fees.

The two expressed their affection for the program. Lee Seung-yoon said, "The goal is to become the longest-running program in the country," adding, "The goal is not to change hosts but for the two of us to continue for a long time." Yoon Taek said, "I used to think 10 years would be enough, but it's already been 15 years," and added, "I plan to continue for about 20 years before stepping down."

When Kim Yong-man asked, "If Yoon Taek quits, will you leave too?" Lee Seung-yoon replied, "Yes. If Brother Yoon Taek leaves, I will quit together," mentioning their joint departure. This statement highlighted the strong bond between the two and drew significant attention from viewers.

Through "I Am Nature," Lee Seung-yoon and Yoon Taek emphasize harmony with nature and strive for the program's continuous development. They plan to continue delivering various aspects of nature to viewers through the program.
