
JTBC's entertainment program "Tokpawon 25city" celebrated its 200th episode since its first broadcast on February 2, 2022. The show features various travel information, culture, and lifestyles through Tokpawons from around the world. Producer Hong Sang-hoon emphasized teamwork as the key to the program's success and highly praised the cooperation of MCs Jeon Hyun-moo, Kim Sook, Yang Se-chan, Lee Chan-won, who have been with the show since the beginning, as well as fixed panelists Daniel Lindemann, Alberto Mondi, Julian, Tyler Rasch, and Takuya.
Producer Hong said, "From the first recording, the MCs said it didn't feel like the first shoot. That atmosphere has continued even up to the 200th episode." He explained that the recordings take place in a family-like atmosphere, proceeding smoothly without any conflicts. He also shared that the close relationships with Tokpawons from various countries allow for natural communication. He added, "When Tokpawons come to Korea, they visit the studio and greet us."
The MCs' personalities and strengths were also mentioned. Lee Chan-won was introduced as an MC with great intellectual curiosity who prepares in advance. Yang Se-chan was praised as an MC skilled in quick wit and changing the mood. Kim Sook plays the role of the sole female member with genuine reactions that show her love for travel. Jeon Hyun-moo stands out as an MC who covers both entertainment and educational content, showcasing his abilities as both an announcer and entertainer. Producer Hong emphasized, "Jeon Hyun-moo is the only MC who leads both entertainment and educational aspects together."
"Tokpawon 25city" overcame the difficulties of COVID-19 to reach 200 episodes. Producer Hong mentioned, "Thanks to the viewers' love, it has established itself as a regular program," and spoke about changes in the show. He explained, "As the COVID-19 era ended and people started traveling in person, some of the program's advantages were diluted." Accordingly, they are trying new segments with various countries and themes.
Producer Hong said, "We listen to stories of Koreans active overseas, discuss topics like living abroad for a month, housing prices, and cost of living. We also invite experts in fields such as art, music, humanities, and history to share in-depth content." He added, "Since there are still many countries we haven't visited, we will continue to try various approaches steadily."
Finally, Producer Hong expressed his hopes for the program, saying, "I hope it becomes a program that provides vicarious satisfaction to those who find it difficult to travel. I wish it would become a program like 'Jeonwon Ilgi' that the whole family can watch together for a long time."
