Ottogi targets the summer noodle market with Jin Milmyeon and Jin Bibimmyeon


Ottogi has released new advertisements for its new product 'Jin Milmyeon' and popular product 'Jin Bibimmyun,' targeting the summer noodle market. The ads center around the concept of 'Jinius,' focusing on humorously conveying the appeal of Jin Milmyeon and Jin Bibimmyun. 'Jinius' is a combination of 'Jin' and 'Genius,' metaphorically representing a new 'genius taste.'

Jin Milmyeon was developed to allow consumers to easily enjoy milmyeon, a local specialty noodle dish from Busan, at home. This product features chewy noodles, a spicy and savory special sauce, and flavored oil to complete the taste. Consumers can enjoy it in two ways—bibim milmyeon (mixed noodles) and mul milmyeon (cold noodle soup)—using the included secret broth.

Jin Bibimmyun is a representative summer bibimmyun product, popular among consumers for its 120% increased portion size compared to the previous product and its spicy, refreshing flavor. It has established itself as a suitable noodle dish for the summer heat.

Comedian Heo Kyung-hwan was selected as the model for this advertisement. Heo Kyung-hwan is loved by the public for his unique cheerful image and various catchphrases. In the commercial, the product's charm is expressed through the catchphrase 'Jinius,' cute choreography, an addictive song, and witty comedic acting. An Ottogi official stated, "This advertisement focuses on presenting the characteristics of Jin Milmyeon and Jin Bibimmyun in a fun and friendly way."

Through this advertisement, Ottogi plans to effectively communicate the products' features and appeal to consumers and strengthen its competitiveness in the summer noodle market.
