MONSTA X (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, I.M) is raising anticipation for their new U.S. release. Their agency, Starship Entertainment, revealed the 'THIRST' version concept photos of MONSTA X's upcoming U.S. album 'Unfold,' set to be released on April 3, through their official SNS.
In the released photos, MONSTA X is shown in an office setting, repeatedly writing something on paper, portraying deep contemplation. The images capture moments of them looking through file folders or sitting atop piles of paper, expressing thirst for answers through sweat effects. The group shot draws attention with the members' intense atmosphere and warm visuals. The messy space and scattered papers symbolically represent their continuous search and longing.
A spoiler video containing parts of the inst version, presumed to be from the album's tracks, was also released. The dreamy yet rhythmic sound hints at MONSTA X's diverse musical colors, raising expectations for the full songs. 'Unfold' is their first official U.S. album in about four years since their second U.S. full-length album 'THE DREAMING,' released in December 2021.
MONSTA X entered the Billboard 200 main album chart at number 5 with their first U.S. full-length album 'ALL ABOUT LUV' released in 2020, and 'THE DREAMING' also charted for two consecutive weeks. They plan to solidify their presence in the global music market through 'Unfold.'
Notably, having shown an expanded spectrum with the previously pre-released tracks 'baby blue' and 'growing pains,' attention is focused on what new narrative MONSTA X will unfold.
On the 7th, MONSTA X opened their full-scale Asia tour by holding the '2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR [THE X : NEXUS] IN BANGKOK' at Thunder Dome in Bangkok, Thailand. As they continue their global activities with a concert in Malaysia on the 28th, worldwide fans' anticipation for the new album 'Unfold' is also growing.
MONSTA X's U.S. album 'Unfold' will be released worldwide on music platforms at midnight on April 3 in each country.
