Group BTS transforms the entire city of Seoul into a festival ground for their comeback. On the 16th, BTS posted detailed program information for "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL" (BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL, hereafter "The City Seoul") on the global fan platform Weverse. "The City Seoul" is an urban project taking place throughout the city from March 20 to April 19. This project offers participants enjoyment that can only be experienced at specific times and places.
On March 20, the release date of the new album "ARIRANG," large-scale events will be held. Media facades will begin at 7 p.m. at locations such as Sungnyemun and Namsan Seoul Tower. At Ttukseom Hangang Park, a drone light show will take place for about 15 minutes starting at 8:30 p.m. Gwanghwamun Square, where "BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG" will be held, will also be filled with a festive atmosphere. From 7 p.m. on the 20th until midnight on the 21st, large outdoor LED screens installed around the square will broadcast BTS comeback-related content.
Music light shows will be held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain. The DDP event will run from March 20 to April 12, and the Banpo Bridge event will take place from March 21 to 22. Additionally, at locations hosting "The City" programs such as Yeouido, DDP, and Shinsegae Square, participants can join a "Stamp Rally" mission by verifying their visits. Participants can enjoy exploring all over Seoul while collecting stamps.
Between March 20 and 22, the Yeouido Hangang Park event plaza will transform into a space filled with music. The "Love Song Lounge," a space for sharing and enjoying music, will operate and is expected to attract great attention from fans in connection with the new album's global campaign phrase, "WHAT IS YOUR LOVE SONG?" This space will offer experiential content centered on songs, busking performances, and photo zones.
From April 6 to 12, Exhibition Hall 1 at DDP will be transformed into "DDP ARMY Square." From April 6 to 19, the "Love Quarter" program will be held at Cheonggyecheon and Yongsan Station, among other locations. This program includes media productions that use light and video to express BTS's new album message against backgrounds such as stone walls, stairs, and street trees.
BTS will also present programs linked with mobility, accommodation, finance, and F&B sectors. These collaborations aim to enhance visitor convenience and expand opportunities to experience "The City" in daily life. Cooperation with new business sectors is expected to provide an evolved experience beyond the existing "The City."
Detailed schedules and program information for "The City Seoul" can be found on BTS's Weverse channel and official website. Some programs require advance reservations. "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG" will be sequentially held in major cities worldwide, starting with Seoul.
