S.E.S. Shoo launches a cosmetics brand after one year of research... "To the world of K-beauty"


Sugar, formerly of the group S.E.S., is entering the cosmetics business. On March 17, Sugar announced the launch of her cosmetics line through her personal social media account. She stated, "Over the past year, I have deeply studied, observed, listened to, and felt the world of cosmetics, pouring all my senses into preparing for this."

Sugar shared, "Amid many meetings and business trips, we pondered to find our identity, and now, Renoble's new cosmetics line will soon be unveiled to you." She added that she plans to introduce the brand worldwide, starting with Vietnam in April.

Sugar expressed her aspirations, saying, "I want many people around the world to love K-beauty and K-culture, and I also want to lead this trend and share Korea's beauty with more people."

Last year, Sugar revealed her path as a businesswoman by participating in the development and investment of health supplements primarily made from centella asiatica. She attracted attention by unveiling a 1,500-pyeong (approximately 4,960 square meters) house located in Chungnam.

Sugar married former professional basketball player Lim Hyo-seong in 2010, and they have one son and two daughters. From August 2016 to May 2018, she was prosecuted for gambling involving approximately 790 million won in Macau and other locations, receiving a six-month prison sentence with a two-year probation and 80 hours of community service. Later, she was sued for failing to repay gambling funds exceeding 100 million won, but the case was settled through mediation in November 2020.

Sugar's cosmetics brand launch is expected to contribute to the global expansion of K-beauty. She stated that she will work hard to promote Korea's beauty to the world. This move demonstrates her determination to establish herself as a businesswoman beyond the entertainment industry.
