The global band hrtz.wav will hold a showcase on April 8 at the Culture Depot performance hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their debut album. Kakao Entertainment announced that the fan showcase will begin at 8 p.m. on the day of the release of their first mini-album, The First Wave. The Culture Depot is a symbolic space where various performances and cultural content events take place, making it an unusual debut stage venue for a rookie band.
hrtz.wav has attracted significant attention from a global fandom even before their debut. The showcase will highlight the band's core strength: live performance. All members are recognized for their outstanding skills in their respective positions, promising a highly polished live stage. Despite being a rookie band, they firmly establish their presence as a band with a distinct style from the start through bold stage planning and concept performances. This showcase will be by invitation through a lottery for those who pre-order The First Wave album.
Starting today (the 18th) at 11 a.m., pre-orders for the mini-album The First Wave began on various online sales platforms. The album is composed of three types: the hrtz version, the wav version, and the slogan version of MD. The album includes a sleeve, photobook, stickers, polaroids, photocards, and a CD, capturing not only musical completeness but also the diverse charms of the five members.
The previously released concept photos revealed each member's charm through close-up shots featuring intense gazes and unique styling. The group image completed the band's distinctive atmosphere, showing the five members harmonizing as one team. Fans have responded with comments like "The visuals explode" and "The atmosphere has completely changed," praising their more mature visuals and different vibe from before.
The First Wave is the debut album released about four months after the band was formed through Mnet's global band-making survival show, Steel Heart Club. Members Yoon Youngjun (keyboard), Lian (vocals), Dane (bass), Kayten (guitar), and Hagiwa (drums) have confirmed a rapid debut with solid musical capabilities and teamwork, showing fast growth.
The debut album The First Wave will be officially released online and offline at 6 p.m. on April 8.
