Lee Dong-hwi appears on radio in alien makeup... "Sorry for causing trouble to the residents"

Actor Lee Dong-hwi apologized for causing inconvenience due to his enthusiastic promotion. On the March 18 broadcast of SBS PowerFM's "Escape at 2 PM Cultwo Show," Hwang Chi-yeul appeared as a special DJ, with Jo Jazz and Lee Dong-hwi as guests. That day, Jo Jazz praised Lee Dong-hwi's movie "Method Acting," saying, "It's really fun. I'm not promoting it because he's a friend, but it's genuinely enjoyable, and you can see everything about Lee Dong-hwi. From comedy to serious drama, you can feel the emotion."

Jo Jazz joked about Lee Dong-hwi appearing on the radio in makeup after the premiere, saying, "I tried to stop him from coming out with all that makeup on. He could have just put on the ears," which made everyone laugh. Hwang Chi-yeul commented on Lee Dong-hwi's promotional enthusiasm, saying, "You can really feel that he put his life on the line for promotion." Lee Dong-hwi awkwardly admitted, "I think I caused inconvenience by doing this too much. I feel like I'm bothering the residents when I go around."

Lee Dong-hwi also mentioned his experience dressing as an alien and singing a number from the musical "Les Misérables" on KBS 2TV's "The Seasons - 10CM's Stroking." He revealed, "I prepared this song really hard during my entrance exams. While singing it, I was surprised by my reflection on the monitor, so I looked away and finished singing." Kim Tae-gyun and Hwang Chi-yeul read comments posted after Lee Dong-hwi's performance and said, "The comments are so funny."

During the broadcast, listeners responded with comments like, "I can't even imagine how much he wants to succeed," "Since Lee Dong-hwi works this hard, I should work hard too," and "Alright, I'll watch the movie." Lee Dong-hwi ended the show by apologizing again, saying, "I'm sorry for causing trouble."

Meanwhile, the movie "Method Acting," released on March 18, is a comedy about Lee Dong-hwi, a "funny actor" who dislikes comedy but becomes deeply immersed in his role to be recognized for his sincere acting. The film is currently receiving positive reviews with a rating of 9.94 out of 10 from audiences.

Lee Dong-hwi also shared an update during the broadcast that he has been refraining from wearing pumba outfits. Kim Tae-gyun asked him about fashion, and Lee Dong-hwi emphasized, "I want to officially clarify that I do not pursue pumba style. In fashion, I pursue happiness." When Hwang Chi-yeul mentioned that Lee Dong-hwi's fashion is natural, he said, "Since I live a life where I need to be professionally recognized, I wear clothes for my personal happiness."

When Kim Tae-gyun agreed, saying, "No matter who calls you pumba," Lee Dong-hwi added, "I refrain from wearing pumba clothes because others call them that." He pointed to Kim Tae-gyun's clothes and said, "If it can bring joy, you wore clothes from the same brand as pumba." Kim Tae-gyun responded, "Same brand, different vibe," and said that clothes are "a gift to myself who has worked hard and loved well."

Previously, when Lee Dong-hwi appeared on MBC variety show "I Live Alone," he wore a vintage field coat and was teased by broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo and others, asking, "Isn't that pumba?" Later, the coat was revealed to be a high-priced item worth 7 million won, which became a hot topic. In an interview about the movie "Method Acting," Lee Dong-hwi explained, "The price keeps going up as it gets reported. It's definitely not that expensive." He added, "I bought it in the low 1 million won range and even got a tax refund."

On March 11, Lee Dong-hwi appeared on tvN variety show "You Quiz on the Block" and said, "I want to clarify. The price reported in the media is absolutely not true. I bought it in that country at a quarter of the price," emphasizing, "I definitely wouldn't buy it at that price. It's definitely not that price." He said, "I thought a lot about whether I should spend that money. I can actually explain about pumba for an hour. When I wore that coat, no one paid any attention to me on public transportation."

Lee Dong-hwi added, "I wore it once after the broadcast before the name 'pumba clothes' was coined. A younger kid said, 'Oh, it's pumba,' and followed me, so I ran away," sharing his thoughts on his fashion.
