Suga (real name Min Yoon-gi) donated 5 billion KRW to establish the 'Min Yoon-gi Treatment Center,' which supports the treatment and independence of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder. This treatment center operates based on the music therapy manual 'MIND Program,' co-authored by Suga. Suga developed the program together with Professor Cheon Geun-ah of Severance Hospital and led direct changes by conducting music volunteer activities for children with autism. Professor Cheon explained that Suga's artistic sensibility and empathy for socially vulnerable groups played a crucial role in the program's success.
Leader RM is contributing to the preservation of Korean cultural heritage. He donated 200 million KRW to the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation to support the publication of the catalog 'IT'S ______ HERE,' which compiles 24 Korean paintings. This catalog helps to re-evaluate the value of Korean paintings held in major overseas museums. RM continuously showed his interest in cultural heritage preservation by donating 100 million KRW each in 2021 and 2022.
J-Hope recently celebrated his birthday by donating 200 million KRW to the Asan Medical Center Children's Hospital in Seoul and 100 million KRW to Green Umbrella Child Fund, bringing his total donations to over 1.4 billion KRW. Since 2018, he has consistently donated to support treatment costs for pediatric patients and families in crisis, and with this donation, he became the 14th member of the 'Green Noble Trinity Club.'
Jimin donates 100 million KRW annually to each provincial office of education to address educational blind spots. Recently, he registered as the first 'three-generation member' of the Green Noble Club of Green Umbrella together with his father and younger brother. His father participates in sharing activities by supporting dental treatment costs for heads of low-income families and living expenses for university students.
V donated 200 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross last year to support victims and firefighters affected by large-scale wildfires. He expressed deep respect for firefighters and volunteers and explained the reason for his donation. Jungkook donated 1 billion KRW to Hope Bridge for wildfire relief and firefighters last year and also donated 1 billion KRW to Seoul National University Children's Hospital for the treatment of children from low-income families.
The eldest member Jin (Kim Seok-jin) donated 100 million KRW to Korea University Medical Center and participated in scholarship projects for vulnerable youth. He expressed gratitude to fans and credited them for the spirit of sharing.
These donation efforts by BTS members have led to a voluntary donation relay by their fandom, ARMY. Since 2017, BTS has contributed about 9.2 billion KRW through the 'LOVE MYSELF' campaign in partnership with UNICEF, helping to eradicate violence against children and adolescents. Following Suga's donation, donations exceeding 200 million KRW have continued under the name of ARMY, showing active participation from fans.
