
BTS member RM was injured during a rehearsal and will have some limitations in his performance at the 'BTS Comeback Live: Arirang' scheduled for the 21st. BigHit Music announced RM's injury on the 20th through the fan community platform Weverse.
RM injured his ankle during rehearsal on the 19th and underwent a detailed examination at the hospital. The diagnosis revealed a talocalcaneal sprain, partial ligament tear, and talus contusion. Medical staff advised RM to wear a leg cast and minimize movement for at least two weeks.
To prevent worsening RM's injury, the agency decided to minimize his movements during the performance. Although RM was determined to deliver a perfect stage, the agency explained that they prioritized the medical staff's judgment in making this decision. BigHit Music stated, "RM will have some restrictions on certain performances such as choreography."
RM plans to participate on stage and interact with fans as much as possible within his limits. The agency asked for fans' understanding, saying, "We deeply apologize to the fans who have been looking forward to this stage," and added, "We will prioritize the artist's health and safety and support RM to fully recover."
BTS released their fifth full-length album 'ARIRANG' containing 14 tracks on March 20. The 'BTS Comeback Live: Arirang' event, held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul at 8 PM on the 21st, will be broadcast live via Netflix to viewers in over 190 countries and regions.
This performance celebrates BTS's comeback, and despite RM's injury, the artists are preparing the show with their best efforts. Valuing communication with fans, BTS plans to offer a special experience through this stage.
