Lee Young-ji criticizes concert scalpers, saying "It's outrageous to sell tickets for 20,000 to 30,000 won more."

Singer Lee Youngji expressed strong resentment toward scalpers. Lee Youngji appeared on the web variety show "Buseungkwan's Bibidibabidibu" on the channel "Ililchil" and voiced her complaints about scalpers during a conversation with Seventeen Seungkwan. This video was released on the 19th.

Lee Youngji asked Seungkwan for advice about her concert, saying, "Senior, I'm holding a concert. Seventeen has done many concerts in really large venues, right? If you have any tips, please let me know." When Seungkwan asked, "Where will it be?" Lee Youngji replied, "Olympic Hall." When Seungkwan asked, "Is it already sold out?" Lee Youngji shyly smiled and admitted, "Yes."

She then expressed her anger toward scalpers, saying, "Those damn scalpers." She said, "I went through all kinds of trouble to lower the ticket price by 10,000 won. But they added 10,000 or 20,000 won, and who sells tickets for 700,000 won? Do they think people are easy targets?" Lee Youngji strongly criticized the scalping problem, which has increased since COVID-19, saying, "Scalping really needs to disappear as a culture." She shared her frustration, saying, "I want to eradicate it because it's so outrageous when they raise prices to 20,000 or 30,000 won, thinking people won't buy if the price is too ridiculous."

Seungkwan sympathized with Lee Youngji's remarks and suggested a practical solution: "Ask the security team or one or two fans to check around the entrance where they enter and near the parking lot. There are always people selling tickets there." Lee Youngji mentioned that as Seventeen gained global popularity, scalped ticket prices have exceeded 5 million won, pointing out the damage fans suffer.

Lee Youngji joked, "Should I grab them by the collar and say, 'You old man' and push them away?" which brought laughter. The two continued talking about the concert, and Lee Youngji emphasized the importance of communicating with the audience during the encore time. Seungkwan complimented her, saying, "You really know how to talk."

Lee Youngji released her new song "Robot" last month and held the first performances of her 2026 world tour, "2026 LEE YOUNGJI WORLD TOUR 2.0," on the 7th and 8th at Seoul Olympic Park Olympic Hall. Lee Youngji's remarks served as a wake-up call regarding the scalping issue.
