Mirage reveals final letter after mother's passing... "Regret over words left unsaid"

Comedian Shin Ki-ru shared her feelings after the passing of her mother. On the 21st, Shin Ki-ru wrote a final letter to her mother on her social media account. She recalled a childhood memory of throwing a tantrum at the hospital because she didn't want to get a shot, saying, "Mom was waiting for me holding the banana milk and snacks I liked, saying she would give them to me if I got the shot well." She continued, "I didn't know mom would leave so soon, so I couldn't say what I wanted to say to her, nor hear what she wanted to say to me, but I will always convey it with my heart, so please listen and watch over me well."

Shin Ki-ru expressed relief after hearing from her mother's acquaintances that "Mom considered me her pride." She said, "I couldn't even prepare a proper memorial, but I held one. So many people sent their condolences, came to mourn with me, and hugged me, so I was able to get through it," expressing her gratitude. She also said, "I feel like I haven't done anything for people, yet I received an overwhelmingly generous amount of comfort. I will never forget it and will live remembering and being thankful."

Shin Ki-ru apologized, saying she wanted to contact each person individually to express her gratitude but that her heart is currently overwhelmed. She added, "I didn't check my weight because I was interested in beauty, but since there was a scale, I stepped on it. I expected to have lost at least 5 kg, but I only lost 1.5 kg, so I'm puzzled. To those who are worried, I will do my best to maintain proper intake without any issues."

Finally, Shin Ki-ru said, "When I return to daily life and meet people at work, please don't look at me with pitying eyes but treat me as usual with teasing. I am truly grateful from the bottom of my heart." Shin Ki-ru's mother passed away on the 17th due to deteriorating health at the age of 68. The funeral was held at Incheon Funeral Hall, and the cremation took place at 6:30 a.m. on the 20th.
