Solved the mystery of the high school girl's death with Shin... 'Shin and Law Office' surpasses 9.1% in viewership ratings

The SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Shin Yi-rang Law Office" recorded its highest viewership rating in episode 4, which aired on March 21. According to Nielsen Korea, this episode achieved a nationwide rating of 9.1% and a metropolitan area rating of 9.3%, with a peak rating of 11.3% per minute. This is a 0.4 percentage point increase from the 8.7% recorded in episode 2 last week. "Shin Yi-rang Law Office" airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.

In episode 4, the story unfolded as the protagonist Shin Yi-rang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) uncovered the true culprit who drove high school girl Kim Soo-ah (played by Oh Ye-ju) to her death. Shin Yi-rang delved into the truth behind the case, which had been covered up as a simple accidental fall, revealing the jealousy and desire hidden beneath. Shin Yi-rang's relentless pursuit provided viewers with exhilarating catharsis and a profound aftertaste.

Shin Yi-rang persistently pursued the key suspect in Kim Soo-ah's case, composer Go Jong-seok (played by Jung Si-heon). When Kim Soo-ah's phone signal was detected near Go Jong-seok's house, Shin Yi-rang infiltrated the location and caught decisive evidence that Go Jong-seok had stolen Kim Soo-ah's original composition. A scene also showed Go Jong-seok angrily talking on the phone, revealing that someone else knew about Kim Soo-ah's original song. Shin Yi-rang sensed that Emma (played by Chun Young-min), Kim Soo-ah's closest fellow trainee, was in danger.

Meanwhile, Han Na-hyun (played by Lee Som) also approached the core of the case. She confirmed Go Jong-seok's criminal record involving repeated copyright infringement and false accusation charges, and although she questioned the abnormal information Shin Yi-rang had obtained, she supported the truth he was pursuing. The "audition score sheet" Han Na-hyun secured became an important clue that strengthened Shin Yi-rang's deductions.

Shin Yi-rang staged a trap investigation by pretending to protect Emma and handing her a stun gun. This was the last resort to determine whether Emma was a victim in danger or the perpetrator. Eventually, Emma attacked Shin Yi-rang, but thanks to Shin Yi-rang's prearranged plan, he was able to extract a confession from her.

The truth revealed in Emma's confession was horrific. Emma, jealous of Kim Soo-ah's diligence and talent despite her poor background, had pushed her off the rooftop. This incident was a tragedy caused by twisted inferiority and desire, and Shin Yi-rang and Han Na-hyun resolved the case, bringing about a just conclusion.

After solving the case, Shin Yi-rang found Kim Soo-ah's mother to fulfill her last wish. Kim Soo-ah's mother was on the verge of blindness due to viral keratitis and had entrusted her daughter to her grandmother to protect her. Kim Soo-ah had registered as an organ donor before her death and donated her corneas to her mother. After the surgery, her mother regained her sight and vowed to live well for both herself and her daughter.

At the end of the broadcast, Shin Yi-rang calmly greeted a male ghost who had lost his life in a mysterious attack, saying, "I am your lawyer, Shin Yi-rang," without showing any surprise. This scene is interpreted as Shin Yi-rang's awakening as a "ghost-specialized lawyer."

Meanwhile, Han Na-hyun began working on a case involving a wife who was acquitted of charges of murdering her husband. Coincidentally, Shin Yi-rang's new ghost client was that very husband. The two lawyers are set to face off again over the same case, raising expectations for the chemistry in their pursuit of the truth.

"Shin Yi-rang Law Office" airs every Friday and Saturday evening and continues to maintain high popularity among viewers.
