[THE FACT | Reporter Choi Su-jeong] BTS has once again demonstrated its overwhelming presence by achieving 51 consecutive weeks at No.1 on the weekly idol ranking platform FANNSTAR, fueled by explosive global fan interest following their comeback.
BTS secured first place with 3,406,949 votes in the FANNSTAR Group Ranking for the third week of March, held from the 16th to the 23rd. PLAVE ranked second with 331,764 votes, while Stray Kids placed third with 259,384 votes.
This achievement reflects the strong enthusiasm of fans surrounding BTS’s comeback, which translated into active voting participation. Fans have continued their support across music streaming, album purchases, and voting, showing unwavering loyalty.
In particular, BTS’s 5th full-length album “ARIRANG” has received an explosive response upon release. It sold 3.98 million copies on the first day, surpassing the group’s previous first-week record (3.37 million) in just one day. The title track “SWIM” also topped the Melon and Bugs daily charts on March 20.
FANNSTAR provides various billboard support benefits based on an artist’s consecutive No.1 record. BTS has already secured a Wangsimni horizontal billboard after achieving 10 consecutive weeks at No.1, and later received advertising on the Hongdae Airport Railroad AM Board after reaching 30 consecutive weeks at No.1.
In addition, a large-scale congratulatory video celebrating BTS’s 50 consecutive weeks at No.1 will soon be displayed on the Hongdae M Screen in Mapo-gu, Seoul, raising fans’ anticipation. If BTS reaches 70 consecutive weeks, a celebration billboard will be shown at PELE in New York, and if they achieve 100 consecutive weeks, global support will be displayed on the COEX Mall 9TO9 CUBE billboard.
Meanwhile, FANNSTAR, operated by THE FACT, serves as a platform for fandom culture through idol voting and billboard support projects. Various votes, including the Group Ranking, begin every Monday, and fans worldwide can participate.
