The Episode 6 soundtrack of MBC's music variety show "1Lights" will be released at noon on March 23 through various online music platforms. In the 6th episode of "1Lights," which aired on the 22nd, the "Death Match" officially began, heightening the tension of the competition. Within the 1:1 face-off structure that requires essential victories to advance to the next round, unexpected pairings and bold song choices continued. The singers took the stage with strategies that maximized their musical strengths, creating an unpredictable and intense flow.
The title track of Episode 6 is Baek Cheong-gang's "I Loved You." This song adds restrained breathing and dense vocals to the original emotion, completing a clear and straightforward resonance. Heo Gak expressed emotions distinctly with direct vocals and a stable tone in "Goodbye." Son Seung-yeon delivered "Love Alone" with explosive high notes and delicate tempo control, conveying it with density.
Ulala Session's "Short Hair" left a strong impression by adding the team's unique breath and energy over a rhythmically arranged track. Lee Ye-ji interpreted "Just Because You Are in This World" with calm breathing and detailed expression, steadily building the song's emotion. Ahn Sung-hoon's "Relentlessly" combined broad emotional expression with lyrical vocals to deepen the song's immersion.
Jamie (JAMIE) reinterpreted "Adult Child" with her own sensibility, revealing a vocal color different from the original. Bak Chang Geun's "You Are Far Away" captured deep emotion and narrative, firmly anchoring the song's core. Lee Ye-jun delivered "Brother" with stable vocals and balanced expression, showing high completeness. Kim Ki-tae left a heavy aftertaste with his unique solemn vocals and emotional delivery in "The Wind Blows."
The Episode 6 soundtrack contains the Death Match stages born from an even fiercer competitive structure. Studio TOB stated, "While maintaining the live atmosphere of the broadcast, we conducted post-production comparable to studio recording to achieve a level of completeness suitable for listening." As a result, the sound's density and balance were finely refined. The high-quality live arrangements, band sound, and each singer's distinctive vocals will harmonize to extend the broadcast's tension and emotion through music.
