Lee Soo-geun publicly expressed his love for his wife. On the March 23rd broadcast of SBS's "No, But Really," Lee Soo-geun talked about his wife's health issues and managing their assets. He revealed that he registered his assets under his wife's name while handling loans under his own name.

When asked by Tak Jae-hoon, "Don't you know how much is in your own bank account?" Lee Soo-geun replied, "I don't know, but I check the transaction history on my phone. I don't even need an allowance. There's nothing to spend it on." Lee Sang-min testified that Lee Soo-geun doesn't spend even one won on himself. Lee Soo-geun explained that he learned this from Tak Jae-hoon, saying, "Tak Jae-hoon hyung doesn't wear luxury brands either. He just wears training clothes and has nothing."

Lee Soo-geun mentioned his long-standing friendship with Tak Jae-hoon, saying, "People's judgments get us involved in strange situations," which can be difficult. He also mentioned that Tak Jae-hoon's mother encouraged him to exercise, revealing the close relationship between the two. Lee Soo-geun showed his loving side by putting everything under his wife's name and taking care of household chores.

Kai admired Lee Soo-geun's remarks, saying, "They say if a man does well, there won't be a divorce." Lee Soo-geun said, "More than 80% of divorces wouldn't happen if the man keeps trying to make it work. Women don't easily let go of the family bond." Tak Jae-hoon and Lee Sang-min asked Lee Soo-geun if he had ever thought about divorce. Lee Soo-geun confessed, "I got married with a feeling of apology from the start. She would have lived happily if it weren't for me, but I chased after her and married her. So I have to take responsibility. I've never once thought about breaking up." He added that he lives happily thanks to his wife.

Tak Jae-hoon doubted Lee Soo-geun's words and asked, "Did you come out here to change your image?" Lee Soo-geun responded, "There are so many reasons I have to do well because my wife is sick." He also emphasized that Tak Jae-hoon cares about him.

Lee Soo-geun's wife, Park Ji-yeon, experienced worsened kidney function due to preeclampsia during her second pregnancy in 2011 and received a kidney transplant from her father. Last August, 14 years later, she underwent a kidney re-transplant surgery from her older brother. Lee Soo-geun appears to feel even more responsible due to his wife's health issues.
