Hong Ji-yoon donates 100 million won prize money from 'Active King of Singers 3' to the elderly

Hong Ji-yoon, a singer affiliated with Choi Lab, decided to donate the 100 million won prize money to the elderly after winning MBN's "Active King of Singers 3."

On the 23rd, Hong Ji-yoon appeared on MBN's "News Fighter" along with the TOP7 members of "Active King of Singers 3," sharing her thoughts on winning, behind-the-scenes stories of the stage, and future plans. Regarding her first meeting with fans, she said, "Those who have quietly supported me since my debut were as happy as if it were their own achievement. I was very glad to bring them a little happiness. Seeing them cry moved me deeply."

The most memorable stage for her in "Active King of Singers 3" was the semifinal second round battle titled "One Last Turn Japan-Korea Showdown." Hong Ji-yoon said, "The mashup stage of the Korean folk song 'Boat Song' and the Japanese folk song 'Soran Bushi' remains vivid in my memory. Even before participating, it was my dream to exchange music between countries and create a single stage, so being able to fulfill that dream makes it unforgettable."

Regarding her decision to donate the entire 100 million won prize money, Hong Ji-yoon explained, "The elderly love trot music and support us, so I decided to donate with the hope that they live long with trot." She added, "It has not been 45 days since I won, so the money has not been deposited yet. I plan to donate as soon as I receive it."

When asked about a dream she had on the day she became the king, she replied, "I usually dream well, but that day I didn't dream at all. It was different from usual, so I hoped that what I wished for could come true."

To those dreaming of becoming trot singers, she advised, "Life doesn't always go as you want, but don't shrink back. If you study yourself and work hard, you can achieve results when opportunities come."

Hong Ji-yoon also declared her candidacy as the representative of the "Active King of Singers 3" TOP7 for the "Korea-Japan King of Singers Battle." She said, "Because it's a Korea-Japan battle, my passion and enthusiasm run deep. I will do my best so that we can win." She also announced the nationwide tour concert for "Active King of Singers 3."

The "Active King of Singers 3" TOP10 Seoul concert will be held twice each day at 1 PM and 6 PM on the 28th and 29th at Kyung Hee University Peace Hall. The nationwide tour will proceed starting from Seoul.

Hong Ji-yoon became the third generation Active King of Singers by winning "Active King of Singers 3."
