
The group Baby DONT Cry held a showcase on the afternoon of the 24th at Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their first mini-album, "AFTER CRY." At this event, Baby DONT Cry performed the title track "Bittersweet." Through this album, they expressed the time after tears and the process of finding a new identity.
"AFTER CRY" goes beyond merely recording wounds; it captures the moment of redefining oneself after falling apart. The album conveys both calm tension and explosive energy simultaneously. The tracks include "Shapeshifter," "Mama I'm Alright," "Moves Like Ciara," and "Tears On My Pillow," with a total of five songs.
Baby DONT Cry released the album on various music platforms starting at 6 p.m. on the same day. The title track "Bittersweet" was created through the collaboration of lyricist Kim Eana and producer Ryan Jhun, depicting bittersweet memories over a bright and lively sound. They plan to express the emotions of moments that remain in the heart over time, aiming to resonate with listeners.
Lee Hyun explained, "This album marks the beginning of the Tears Trilogy project," adding, "It captures the time leading up to tears." Benny said, "Since this is our first mini-album, we prepared diligently. We wanted to surprise the world with our amazing performance." Mia stated, "There was a lot to prepare, so we worked hard accordingly."
Baby DONT Cry is gaining attention overseas as well, including appearances on Japanese terrestrial broadcasts and being selected as one of the "Rising Artists to Watch This Year" by the UK music magazine NME. Armed with enhanced skills and diverse charms, they announce the start of the "Tears Trilogy" project.
This album is Baby DONT Cry's first mini-album and is regarded as an important milestone in establishing their musical identity. Attention is focused on what achievements they will accomplish through their future activities.
