The group TWS (TWS·Shinyu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin) is gaining attention as artists who will lead the future of the global music industry. On March 25 (local time), the American music magazine Rolling Stone announced the 'FUTURE 25' of the year on its website. 'FUTURE 25' is Rolling Stone's annual feature list introducing promising figures who are leading changes in the music industry with innovative ideas.
TWS was included in this list and was described as "one of the most interesting and energetic young groups in the current K-pop scene." Rolling Stone praised TWS's music, stage presence, and model-like visuals. It also explained that TWS has built a "feel-good pop sound" characterized by retro vibes, rich harmonies, and witty lyrics.
The title track "OVERDRIVE" from TWS's fourth mini-album "play hard" was introduced as a "word-of-mouth hit," and the pre-release track "Head Shoulders Knees Toes" was evaluated as an "explosive track that stimulates the auditory senses." In an interview with Rolling Stone, TWS stated, "'Boyhood Pop' is constantly expanding," adding, "It can contain exciting emotions, peace and comfort, and intense power. Whatever music we make, we want to deliver positive energy to listeners."
In this year's 'FUTURE 25,' in addition to TWS, artists such as Lola Young, who won the 'Best Pop Solo Performance' at the 68th Grammy Awards, and the Latin band Fuerza Regida, which won a total of four awards at the 2023 and 2024 Billboard Music Awards, were included. TWS is gaining attention by proving their global presence alongside these artists.
From April 27 for three days, TWS will hold the '2026 TWS 2ND FANMEETING <42:CLUB> IN SEOUL' at the Ticketlink Live Arena (formerly Handball Gymnasium) in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and meet with fans. This fan meeting is expected to be an opportunity to further strengthen TWS's music and communication with fans. TWS plans to deliver positive energy through their meeting with fans.
